To capture these moments, these spaces, is to make perpetual what were only meant to be fleeting moments. It means composing past memories in the present and future tenses. By showing you these images, I’m making you my accomplices: we are witnesses to witnesses, who by their presence embody absence, the end and renewal.
It’s as if something has just come to an end, or rather that something distant has just resurfaced – in people’s minds – or else could it be the beginning of something? What’s really going on?
